When we look at dieting in a different aspect, we will discover that there are many reasons why people are determined to go through it other than losing weight. There is no right or wrong reason in dieting it all depends on one’s personal needs and desires.
People are motivated to follow strict diet for energy. Many obese persons can attest that gaining a lot of weight puts a strain on the body which makes it not capable to do more vigorous or rigid activities. These people also find it less enjoyable, for instance, to go out and spend time with family or friends outdoors because they easily get tired. Work also suffers if one lacks the energy the job requires.
Diet is also associated with the desire to be physically fit. Some people achieve their ideal weight and body structure even if it does not fall in the category of how people describe sexy bodies. In spite of this, they get the feeling of having better physical strength and stamina to endure daily normal activities or extreme ones for those who are a little more adventurous. This becomes their motivation in dieting.
Religion is also seen as a reason for dieting. People’s beliefs are intertwined with how they take care of their body. Faith and religion are two powerful motivators for some people. This becomes their living goal to take care of their body they treat as a temple.
There may be a dozen more reasons why people go on diet and try to lose weight but what matters is that they discover what works for them. Without any proper drive in dieting will make one’s goal impossible to achieve.
